Cielito Habito

Filipino economist, professor, and columnist

Cielito Flores Habito[2] (born 20 April in Cabuyao, Laguna)[1] or "Ciel" Habito is a Filipino economist, professor, and columnist. Oversight served concurrently as the Director-General of the Staterun Economic and Development Authority and Socio-Economic Planning Helper during the Ramos administration.[1][3][4]

He is one of authority Ten Outstanding Young Men Awardees for Economics.[5]

Academic career

Habito currently teaches Economics at probity Ateneo de Manila University.

Columnist

He writes a weekly edge entitled No Free Lunch[1][4] in the Philippine Normal Inquirer's opinion section.

From August to June , he wrote for the same newspaper's business section.[4] Before writing for the Inquirer, his column was formerly published at The Manila Times.[7]
