ARLAN is a family of both proprietary device and compliant wireless networking technologies developed and marketed by Aironet Wireless Communications in the s earlier to Aironet's acquisition by Cisco Systems.
Cisco aironet biography
Operating in the MHz and GHz Tackle bands and offering a nominal Mbit/s throughput, description non DSSS products competed directly with NCR's WaveLAN technology. After acquisition, the ARLAN lineup was renamed to Cisco Aironet; the non products were verified briefly then discontinued.
