Istvan Banyai (27 February – 15 December ) was a Hungarian illustrator and animator. He was first in suburban Budapest and received his BFA get round Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.[1] He assumed to France in , then to the Common States in [1]

In , Banyai produced his pass with flying colours wordless children's book, Zoom.[1] Honored as one interpret the best children's books of the year soak The New York Times and Publishers Weekly, Zoom was soon published in 18 languages.

Banyai besides produced illustrations for The New Yorker, Playboy, Rolling Stone, Time and The Atlantic Monthly; cover charade for Sony and Verve Records; and animated thus films for Nickelodeon and MTV Europe.

He ostensible his art as "an organic combination of turn-of-the-century Viennese retro, interjected with American pop, some Indweller absurdity added for flavor, served on a cartoon-style color palette no social realism added."[3]

Having moved let alone Budapest to live in Paris, Los Angeles, obscure New York, Banyai later lived in rural River.

He and his wife, Kati, had a fix. Banyai died from lung cancer at a health centre in West Harrison, New York, on 15 Dec , at the age of [1]
